I was SO sick I did NOT run. That doesn’t mean I didn’t run at all. I did attend boot camp in the morning, and he had us run about a mile. I decided that was good enough. I felt totally FINE in the morning, but had pancreatitis by the evening and there was NO way. I had to even cancel on clients! I felt horrible about that, but what can you do?
Burnis is mean
This is Burnis, the drill sergeant at the boot camp! I’d highly recommend it. In fact, I enjoyed it so well, I might sign up for another session and am considering getting bootcamp certification myself!

Here’s Erin! I love Erin. She’s one of my runners I’m coaching to her first marathon. Ron and I are behind her. We had a great run today. This was Erin and Ron’s longest run, 14.2 miles. I was tired because of my crazy week and had to walk at one point, but they waited up for me! Yay Erin and Ron!
We also ran with Megan (yay Megan, her longest run today too at 10 miles), Becky, and Tami and had some great talks as we ran. I so appreciated having them with me today and all the things that, as a group, they do for me and we do for each other. I love these people.
Run: Tour of Marysville out to Casino, to 116th, south to 52nd, back up Sunnyside.
Mileage: 14.2
Time: 2:40
Weather: Drizzly and chilly…in other words, perfect weather for running
Blessing: Running with new friends (except Ron who I’ve known since high school), and seeing Roy at mile 11 with water and Gu.
Total Mileage for Week: 72!!!!!! Highest mileage week evah!

Wow! Interesting run. I decided to run through the park on the way home and pick up my class list for tonight’s class. I was just coming out of the parks dept when a little boy came running up to tell me he thought his friend had broken his leg. I sent him in to call 911 and ran to find the boy. He’d been swinging from a rope swing that broke and his leg was definitely broken, poor kid! Sat there with him while help came and talked to him. He was so concerned it was going to cost his mother, but there really was no other way to get him out of that area without hurting his leg more. He was also sure his mom was going to be mad. I hate to hear that. A kid shouldn’t HAVE to worry that his mom will be mad that his broken leg will cost her money. (I’m sure she wasn’t mad either. I saw her on the way out and she looked very concerned.) Wiley was with me so he got to talk to Brandon a bit too until his friends all showed up with another dog and let that dog go. Kids…brains like sieves. I decided that since the EMTs were there, as was a parks employee, I’d go ahead and take off. I was quite a sight trying to climb up the hill on my hands and knees! Now I need to eat and go BACK to the park for my class in 40 minutes!

Wiley went with me and here is his handsome head as I bring up the back of the pack!
